Today I discovered for the first time the inimitable website Lists of Note where you can find a letter F. Scott Fitzgerald wrote to his 11-year-old daughter, Woody Guthrie’s New Years Resolutions, Johnny Cash’s to-do list, Robert Heinlein’s predictions for 2000 and Henry Miller’s eleven commandments of writing.
There are also some beauties from a New Zealand turn-of-the-century newspaper, the Taranaki Herald:
